Partners and Supporters

The reserve is managed by the
South Carolina Department of Natural Resources. A 21 member steering committee, representing local business, education, science, forestry, fisheries, environmental, tourism, nonprofit conservation, non-governmental organizations and private landowner communities, guides development of research and educational activities.

A strong partnership with the South Carolina Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism at Edisto Beach State Park has created opportunities for a friends group for protection of and education in the ACE Basin.
