| Sedges are a grass-like herb that form
tufts in moist or wet soil, such as marshes, swamps, prairies, and
floodplains. The triangular stems have flat spikes at the top. When
not flowering with the wide feathery white flower, sedges can be differentiated
from other grasses by sharp edges. Sawgrass is also a sedge with saw-like
edges. |
