Read Me First

Dear Teachers and Colleagues,

In an effort to maximize field trip time for your class, Rookery Bay staff have updated the PowerPoint presentation and notes so you can give the lecture in class (in advance of your visit to the Reserve). The notes are viewable as a separate word document and also as part of the PowerPoint file. You can print the notes to familiarize yourself with the presentation or you can print them for your students. The notes can be printed as a word document or they can be printed in conjunction with each PowerPoint slide. The following directions are for printing the notes with the slides (XP operating system). In PowerPoint (when the presentation is opened) select the print option (not printer icon) from the file drop down menu (upper left corner). Print box should appear. On the lower left side there is a "Print What" selection. Click on the arrow on the right side of the white box. Select "notes page". To save ink you may want to select print grayscale from the box below. As described this method will print 1 slide with notes per page.
